# What is the Merit-based airdrop aka UBI?

The Galactica UBI, Universal Basic Income, is a continuous airdrop of GNET tokens distributed to active members of the ecosystem. By taking part in community activities & tasks (social, governance, network usage etc), a user can increase his Reputation Score and get access to more merit based airdrop rewards.

The Merit-Based Airdrop is accessible only to participants in the Node Sale. Holders of a Full Node (GCN) will have a higher allocation while holders of a Shard Node (GSN) will have a lower allocation.

This airdrop will be allocated and distributed over 3 years after TGE.

You can start building your Reputation Score now via the [Galactica CypherBook](https://app.galactica.com).
