# What are the advantages of participating in the GND?

Participating in the GND allows one to earn many benefits within the Galactica Ecosystem, and to get access to the GNET gas token.

GND participants will earn 3 different rewards types:

* NodeDrop (13.6% of the GNET supply): Direct allocation of GNET tokens based on your Node Tier.
* Merit Based airdrop (or UBI) (6% of GNET supply): Continuous GNET rewards for active Node holders.
* Validation Rewards (11.08% of GNET supply): Boost your APY by staking GNET with validators.

Those rewards are subject to cliff and vesting terms. Guaranteeing a long-term investment and less selling pressure at TGE.
