# Do I need to pass KYC to participate in the Galactica Node Sale?

Galactica doesn’t require a KYC to invest in the Node Sale, however you will need to pass KYC to activate your Galactica Citizen Node after its purchase. If you bought one or several Galactica Shard Nodes, KYC will be mandatory to activate only if the purchase amount is more than $100.
