👨🏫How to become a Citizen?
Galactica Network Citizenship (GNC) is a digital shadow tied to a user's account. Four citizenship types and five distribution waves exist for earning, buying, or receiving GNCs. Citizenship types vary based on acquisition method, and price discovery occurs through auctions. During the bootstrapping process, GNCs will be in short supply and distributed in waves with specific eligibility, duration, and price discovery processes. Successful participation in a distribution wave reserves a place on a GNC whitelist, but we have designed activation itself to occur in separate waves.
The process of becoming a Citizen can be described as follows:
Method 1 - Participate in ICA (Initial Citizenship Auction) - periodic Vickerey auctions with a predetermined number of winning bids, discrete and bounded within a short period of time
Method 2 - Participate in CCA (Continuous Citizenship Auction) - periodic inverse Dutch auctions with a predetermined number of winning bids, continuous and bounded by a wider time frame
Method 3 - Third-party acquisition through the open market.
Price and benefits shall depend on a given user’s participation stage, with earlier candidates prioritized first. Galactica Network will soon provide a full section dedicated to becoming one of its Citizens. For now users can refer to this presentation for more information.
