Becoming a Galactica Network citizen grants access to various benefits, including Universal Basic Income (UBI), the ability to earn $GNET for validating blocks, admission to citizen-gated dApps, and participation in the meritocratic governance of the protocol. To obtain GNC, users must pass Galactica's zkKYC process and participate in one of the three available methods for acquiring citizenship: participating in an Initial Citizenship Auction (ICA), participating in a Continuous Citizenship Auction (CCA), or acquiring citizenship through other contributions to the protocol. In this section, we will provide more information on the benefits of being a Galactica Network citizen, and a general overview of how to become one.
